Welcome to AutomationEdge AI Innothon

This Hackathon theme is about “Innovation in Banking and Financial Industry using Data Science”

Artificial Intelligence as we all know is creating a greater impact on our day to day lives making it better in every bits and pieces. AutomationEdge with its unique approach blends the technology in a way to solve the unique business problems and making them more efficient.

This hackathon is about cracking open the decade-old problems which were considered difficult, time-consuming, and expensive till now.

The objective of this hackathon is to build a prototype of a solution to the industry problems using the toll of your choice with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence.

Text Categorisation

Over the last few years, with the increased usage of computers, lots of text data were digitized from multiple sources. The latest advancements in NLP and Deep Learning has opened a huge pool of opportunities to mine the text results in gaining useful insights from the lots of unstructured text data that is available. In addition, there is a huge need for categorisation of the available text which in turn can be used to solve many problems and automate in the BFSI domains. Now, the sky’s the limit for your innovation to solve the problem of text categorisation.

Some example ideas:

  1. Identification of the intention behind the text with the domain specific knowledge.

  2. Categorising or clustering the documents so that the respective team can work or process the respective cluster of documents

Know Your Customer

Know Your Customer is a process by which banks or finance companies obtain information about the identity and addresses of the customer. Image Processing, Computer Vision and machine learning opens up a huge opportunity to eliminate the manual labour involved in this process. It’s high time for you to come up with a solution by leveraging the benefits of AI to smoothen the process of KYC.

Photo Optical character recognition

Optical character recognition is the electronic or mechanical conversion of images of typed, handwritten or printed text into machine-encoded text, whether from a scanned document, a photo of a document, a scene-photo (for example the text on signs and billboards in a landscape photo) or from subtitle text superimposed on an image (for example from a television broadcast). While there have been many attempts over the past few years to automate the character recognition, but the limits are still countless. All you need to do is design and develop an application that can extract text with the maximum correctness from any kind of image given.
